The Pomona Association of Black School Educators (PABSE) and the African American Parent Advisory Committee (AAPAC) proudly hosted the Rise Up: Empowering the Next Generation, a powerful and inspiring event designed to uplift and empower young men from Pomona Unified School District (PUSD) grades 7–12.
Students participated in impactful keynote presentations and interactive breakout sessions focused on college and career readiness, identity and confidence, mental health support systems, and civic responsibility. In addition, parents were able to take part in dedicated workshops that provided practical tools and guidance to support their sons’ academic and personal success. The event brought together committed educators, mentors, and community leaders who shared encouragement, resources, and real-world insight to help students and families plan for the future.
The Empowering Agenda reflects PABSE’s and AAPAC’s continued commitment to student success, mentorship, and creating meaningful opportunities for students to learn, grow, and thrive.
